The Galleries are a platform of The Beautifull Project dedicated to inviting women back to their bodies through visual imagery. In a world full of air-brush and edits and filters, we have cut ourselves off from our most direct way of knowing ourselves.. through our own reflection. This platform gives us a way back by reminding us that we are not alone with our own bodies that stretch and fold and change.

The Galleries remind us that we can create a world where every BODY belongs.

Whole

Our first gallery is the work of Apothic Boheme.

It was commissioned by one of the models at the shoot who was working to find freedom from self-imposed judgement about her own body. She invited some of her friends and family to pose with her. The day of the shoot was full of nerves and new connections and more than a little bit of new-found confidence.

Each model had a chance to see her own pictures and decide how she wanted them used on public platforms. Nearly every woman asked that her body and her face not appear in the same photo so that she could avoid being identified.

Which was how the name of the gallery was born - Whole - a gallery to bring us hope about the freedom we can find together, but also a reminder of the work we have left to do so that we can show up and be seen as our whole selves. New photos will be added to the collection weekly.
